My CPU almost never get's bigger then 300% and my GPU almost never above 30%. Does anyone have any Idea for how my computer can be used more effectively?

I have a Macbook Pro with a M1 Max processor with 32 gpu cores and 64gb RAM. I have this with all Adobe apps I use (After Effect, Premiere, Media Encoder). A collegue of mine does very similar tasks with the exact same computer and often has the cpu above 800% and gpu at 90%.

At the moment I'm exporting a 30 second composition RGBA in After Effects in which I only rotobrushed a head. The rendering is extremely slow.  I have no intensie tasks running in any other apps. After Effect tells me it's using only 22% RAM and in activitiy monitor I see it only using 130% CPU and 25% GPU there are no other CPU or GPU intensive apps running. The first 73% of the rendering took 22 minutes.

It seems to be a bit faster when cache is storend on an USBC exterternal LaCie drive.
