Need Help to create a spiral/coil amination

Hi Guys - I'm trying to create the attached image as an animation with a gradient.

Any advice would be appricated 🙂

No plug-ins required:

Draw the path in Illustrator, copy & paste it over/ import it. this has the added benefit that you can simply copy& paste the path to the positions of the arrows as well without extra work beyond adjusting the timing. Soem time well spent in AI can save you a ton of work in AE.

    You can apply CC Cylinder to a series of diagonal lines on a shape layer and then add Trim Paths. If you have Trapcode 3D Stroke, you can do it with a single mask path on a solid.
