Need to flip and object horizontally back and forth really quickly...

Im trying to achieve the effect found at the beginning of this video:

Could someone help me in trying to figure out how i can make an object flip horizontally and back really quickly, so that i can achieve this effect. or how you would recommend i go about achieving this. I'm pretty new to after effects so any video tutorials would be really useful. Ive tried playing with the wiggle effect but it does not achieve what I'm after. thanks!!!!

Wow, that video will drive you nuts!

It's pretty easy.  Using the Centered paragraph setting, make a text layer.  Click the 3D switch.  Move the anchor point so it's centered on the layer.  Now you can animate either horizontally or vertically 180 degrees.  Convert your keyframes to Hold keyframes and the change will be instantaneous.
