New To AE, pic to 3D book effect

I've been all over google and youtube and I can't find the answer I'm looking for.

I'm needing to take a picture and turn it into a 3d book, that can rotate, spine, white pages beyond the cover and back.

THATS IT! it doesn't need to open, pages don't need to flip. And I'm on a Mac so I can't use these EXE templets nor do i have the budget to buy them.

I realize this is AE 101, but I can't find instructions on exactly what I want to do.

Can anyone help please.

You will find Element 3D a perfect solution to this however and a good tool for future use.  I use Element all the time and as noted, you can find many free 3D models.  Some of the better quality models may cost a little depending but for a book you should be fine.  You could actually build the book in Element as well if you wanted.  Would be pretty simple,

If you go with AE’s 3D layer controls, it’s going to look more like a box than a book.

There’s a pretty nice 3D model meant for use with Video Copilot’s Element 3D plug-in for After Effects available here: The Book 3d model - Free3D .  It’s “free”, but you’ll need to register with your email and also have the Element 3D plug-in.

The Maxon CINEWARE plug-in that comes with AE will allow you to use a Cinema 4D project directly in AE; however, you’d have to model and texture the book yourself or find one for use in C4D.

This templet is exactly what I'm looking for!

However, the model is free, but I'll have to buy the program to get the Element 3D plug in...
