No preview in preview panel 17.1.2

The preview panel doesn't show my composition. This didn't start until I update to 17.1.2. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. And when I close AE, it doesn't close all the way.

Can you share a screen shot? Does the tab at the top of the panel say composition? If it says layer or footage please switch over to the composition tab.

You can also go to the top of the interface and go to window and make sure that the composition window is checked.

As you can see. The first picture composition is up and there is nothing else in the window. The second picture has an image. Both do not show in the editing window. This only happens in the latest version.

Yes, it does say composition. It also doesn't show anything else. I can double click on one of the lairs and it won't show that either. I had to uninstall to finsh a project but I will reinstall after and send you a screenshoot.

Thanks for reaching out. We'd need more information so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly.

1. What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)?
2. Are you using any third-party plug-ins for After Effects? If so, what happens if you remove them?
3. Is it happening with all the project or only the once you created in this version (17.1.2)?
