Question

Overlaid object via tracking won't go off-screen

Hey folks, got a little issue here, the situation goes as follows:

I tracked an object a person is holding in a hand in Mocha, tracking went great. Then I pasted the tracking data into a null object in After Effects, positioned and linked an image to the tracker data, and played the preview. It works flawlessly until the moment the object is supposed to go off-screen... then the image just kind of hits the corner of the video as if it hit some kind of wall and just hangs there until the end of the clip.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how to fix this?

Thanks!

You probably did not track properly in Mocha. It is impossible to say without seeing screenshots that show exactly what you are doing. All modified properties in AE and the appropriate screenshots in Mocha.

The tracking in Mocha looks perfect, but the inserted image loses alignment halfway through the clip in After Effects.

Would you be alright with watching a slightly sped up screen capture of what I do? It's not a very long clip I'm working on, only 15-ish seconds

Hi BrianA,

Anything would be helpful. Please post it.

Thanks,
Kevin
