PNG has black background when 3D is turned on

Hi everyone,Beginner in After Effects here. When I put my PNG into 3D space, the transparent background turns black. Here are some things I've tried:- Adding lights in front of the image does not change the background- Masking the image still puts a black rectangle around it- Rearranging layers doesn't help- I can't make a shape layer an Alpha Matte below it, acting as a maskPlease help!CJ

This is happening because all of your layers are on the same z axis position in the 3d space. I would recommend that you use two views. One of the views can be your main one, which is the Active Camera and then the second view can be top. This way you will see that all the layers from an aerial view and make the necessary adjustments.
