¿Por qué no puedo importar una imagen PNG en After Effects y que se vea correctamente?

He tenido problemas para importar imágenes PNG a After Effects. Utilizo la versión 25.1, y cada vez que quiero importar imágenes en PNG para animar una secuencia, no se importa como debería. ¿Cómo puedo solucionarlo? Saludos.

By looking at the screenshot, I am assuming that you're importing the Mario image in After Effects comp but the image doesn't have a transparent background. Is that correct? It is possible that the image doesn't actually have a transparent background, and the background that looks like a transparency grid is applied. You may need to download the image again from the source or contact the creator.

Hola! Mi problema es que al importar imágenes PNG en After Effects 25.1, no se elimina el fondo que, justamente por ser PNG, debería eliminarse. ¿A qué se debe? ¿Puede corregirse? Agradecería mucho su apoyo con esto, comunidad. Saludos!!
