Premiere Pro dynamic link footage won't show up in composition

Thanks Marry, this problem has been bugging me for ages; didn't realise it was a simple cacheing issue 🙂

Thank you for your thorough response. Unfortunately, everything is updated, clearing the caches didn't help, and I'm actually trying to import a Premiere Pro sequence into After Effects at the moment so no problems with the tracks. I'm going to try to take my AE animations in Premiere instead and see if that works. Otherwise, I guess I just have to render it which sucks cause it'll take like 5 hours with the size of my content.

If you're having trouble with Premiere Pro dynamic link footage not showing up in your composition, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.

First, make sure that the dynamic link is properly set up between Premiere Pro and After Effects (or the other program you're using). Check that both programs are up-to-date and that you have the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud.

Next, try clearing the cache files in both Premiere Pro and After Effects. In Premiere Pro, go to Edit > Preferences > Media Cache, and click Clean. In After Effects, go to Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk Cache.

If that doesn't work, try rendering the dynamic link footage in After Effects before importing it into Premiere Pro. This can be done by selecting the composition in After Effects, going to Composition > Add to Render Queue, and selecting the desired output settings. Once the render is complete, import the rendered file into Premiere Pro.

Another thing to try is to check the track targeting in Premiere Pro. Make sure that the track where the dynamic link footage should appear is targeted and visible in the timeline.
