Preview Goes Past Work Area

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem where the preview function for After Effects is going beyond the designated work area. Every time I press space, the preview begins at the start of my work area but then continues after the end point of the WA.

I've checked the 'Play From' option to 'Start of Work Area' so I'm not sure why this is happening. My 'Range' is set to 'Work Area' as well. I was under the impression that the range determined where the preview ends, and the 'Play From' location sets where the preview begins, but I guess something else is going on here? I would be really grateful if someone could help me with this.
