PREVIEW IS BLACK

Hello,

So Im currently facing a problem with adobe after effect. I work on 2d animation and I have multiple composotions saved in my desktop, I want to combine them per 2 comp and add some animated transitions in between, however, once I try to import and preview 2 composotions at the same time, no preview is being displayed only a black screen. I can only work on each composotion seperately, and im only having this problem recently, whereas before I only had 16 in ram (now 32) and it was working fine. Im also using the latest studio drivers for Adobe.

Hi na30563561k6yp,

Sorry for your issue.

What's the version of the GPU driver that's installed on your computer? Does it happen with multiple projects or just this one? Can you try running After Effects in Safe Mode?

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

For my GPU drivers, I just recently updated to this version NVIDIA STUDIO DRIVER 536.40 but still not working. Also, this is not the only project im having a problem with, but there is also some exception where it works pretty well and the only difference I can simply guess is that, one is less than 10 sec and works fine while this one is around 15 sec with more animation and effects. I tried to run in SAFE MODE, Im not sure how it is supposed to work but i can barely work on my project with it without having the 'invalid menu operation' message and its not prviewing any scene even more.

Thank you,

Does the preview work in a new project? If so, can you try importing your project into a new project and check if the preview works? Also, try this: Go to After Effects Preferences > Display > disable Hardware Accelerated Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels.

Let us know the results.

Thanks,

Nishu
