Proportions keep changing

Hey there,

 

Everytime when I create something at 1920x1080 pixels and I'm importing it to After Effects, the items isn't imported as the requested resolution? After that, when I try to resize it to my canvas (by myself) it'll show fine. But when I try to export it and preview it later? The video shows all stretched out... 

 

What can be the solution?

It looks like you are using different pixel aspect ratios for the footage and the compositions. Could you share with us a screen capture of your Composition Settings (Go to Composition > Composition Setting). It would be helpful if you share too a screen capture for the footage setting when you start creating them (Size in Photoshop or illustrator)

    As I thought you are using a HDV pixel aspect ratio that is 1440x1080 but a full raster at 1920x1080. Your pixels have an aspect ratio of 1.33. You must select the preset called HDTV 1080 25 for a native 1920x1080. This way you will avoid the resizing problems.
