Question

Puppet pin tool mesh not tracking outlined objects

Animating bird wings in motion but the puppet mesh is not tracking wing objects. I've expanded the mesh to fully capture the objects. I've tried to set keyframes for the different motions but they overlap. Why does the puppet pin mesh not follow the outlined object?

Seems like this should be an easy task in AE. I've watched another tutorial online and the teacher only had to put three puppet points on each wing and i've tried applying fifteen points or more with the same results. Which is a alpha object covered in mesh which is not tracking the object. I've tried rendering at lower/higher resolutions and it doesn't change anything. Can you please tell me why is the puppet mesh not following the alpha object when i tell it to?

A non cropped screenshot would be helpful - showing your layers with the pin and the preview.

Thanks for getting back to me, i was able to animate the objects using the Advanced Puppet Pin Tool. My brain was not functioning on the new advanced engine and i was having a difficult time locating the information i was searching which is here:
