QuickTime functions will be disabled because a compatible version of QuickTime could not be found.
I have been on hold over the phone for a couple hours and I finally have to leave my house to get on with my life. My last ditch effort to get any assistance is to ask the community and hope that someone out there responds. When I open after effects, it says, "QuickTime functions will be disabled because a compatible version of QuickTime could not be found." I am hoping to get After Effects to recognize .mov files again, and export projects to QuickTime format again. I have After Effects version 7.0. I paid for it years back. It does the trick. No, I am not interested in subscribing to the newer version at this time. I know this can do the job, because I used it not to long ago. It's just stopped working here recently. There used to be a page where I could re-install the dummy installation, using the listed serial number, but Adobe has since removed the page. Here is the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs2-product-downloads.html#. I saved the linkl, because I anticipated issues such as this to appear out of nowhere. In the past uninstalling and re-installing did the trick. But now the page is gone. So I got on the phone and wasted two hours of my life. Also, are there any other good video editing programs out there, with better support? Just curious, as I may want to upgrade later. I just want to stay away from adobe if there isn't any way to get help after purchasing a product.
