"unknown file type" error when importing Dimension OBJ or GTLF file into Cinema 4D lite.

I exported a Dimension scene in first an OBJ file and then a GTLF file to get one of them to work and when dragging and dropping into Cinema 4D I get "uknown file format" error message. Please any guidance around this issue would be appreciated! I am brand new to cinema 4d and dimension.
