Red Frame in AE 2019, ProRes 422

Hi,

This is the first time I've had this issue but it's clear it happens a lot. Red frame shows up for about 70% of my prores 422 clip. The clip is a really long clip and runs around 50gb but it has a lot of important footage.

I've done all the clearing of my cache, even went into my app data and cleared it out manually.

I've already unchecked the H264 button...which shouldn't matter in my case.

Windows 10

i-7 6700k

GTX 1080ti

64 gb of Ram

Running of a samsung SSD

I don't know what else to do, deadline is soon. Has anyone had a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone, I got the editor to re-render the clip and that solved the issue but if this ever happens again, I will definitely try all of these steps.

Try to stop the GPU accelerator, Fo to File > Project Settings, click the Video Rendering and Effects tab, and set the Use option to Mercury GPU Acceleration.

Red Frames from AE/PPro are either bad rendered frames or badly written frames or poorly read frames - frames=data. The actual cause could be lots of thingies. I'm hopeful the Red Frames do not occur at exactly the same spots each time - even after re-booting.

If Red Frames are intermittent, it's likely to be poorly read frames (could be software, hardware or a combo of both), I suggest you break up the ultra large footage into smaller chunks to make it easier for both the software and hardware. You'll also want to try placing the footage onto your fastest storage drive.

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
