I have a C4D render PNG sequence comprising of Gradient colours. I want to make a duplicate it so that i can make it transparent and animate its stroke by increasing its scale. How can i do it. Until now i have done following things:

I have decolourise it to one white colour and tried to key that but that results in irregular stroke.

I have make it gradient colour and tried to zero its opacity but the stroke changes along with it.

 Any solutions?

I want to make the gradient transparent while the strokes needs to be with the same opacity. I have tried keying it but the result was not satisfied as the strokes was removed partially. Anyother solutions?

Try this:

  1. Duplicate your image sequence layer twice.
  2. Set the top copy as an alpha track matte for the second layer
  3. Apply LayerStyle>Stroke to the second layer
  4. Animate the size of the stroke

I just used a shape layer but this will give you the idea:

As long as your image sequence has an alpha channel so there is transparency surrounding the shapes this will give you the ability to add a stroke around the transparent edges of the image sequence and animate the size of the stroke.

Huh. I've never thought that software like this could be that complicated. I just want to give a gap between object and a outline and animate that gap in imcreasing order. as there is no option for this i decided to go with duplicating the object with transparent body and a outline so that i could animate the whole object scale to achieve my imagination. but but...
