Rendered file for use in Vegas Pro 19

What settings should I use to create a file in AE so that I can use it in Vegas Pro 19? I have just upgraded from an older version of AE (CS5) to the latest version and I am finding that the setting that I used in the older version no longer creates a file that I can use in Vegas Pro. Orriginally I would create an AVI file and then use Handbrake to create an MP4 file. Now when I create the AVI file it won't work in Handbrake. Handbrake starts to load it and then at 10% it hangs and never completes. When I try the H264 preset, Vegas doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions?

Thanks for writing in, David.

After Effects and Media Encoder can export a wide range of formats. Here's the list of supported formats by the Vegas Pro. If it doesn't import the files, you may need to contact Vegas Pro support.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,
