Replacing Footage Gives Error "After Effects warning: Alias: Invalid ascend count '0'."

Whenever I am trying to replace/relink footage dynamically linked to a premiere project, it gives the error mentioned in the title. This happens with any footage I try to replace. Not sure where to go from here.

Without any info about your project, your system, footage types, where they are stored, how they are named and so on we can't tell you anything. You need to be more specific. That said, it very much sounds like the files you are trying to replace suddenly become blocked/ ionvalidated so start by checking the various temp and cache folders involved in the process. Check the folder permissions and clean them out to ensure there's enough space left. Everything outside that will require better info.

Hello Mylenium

I am meeting the same trouble.
Just want to open footage types like AI, PS, mp4... (as attached image).

And when opening the file, the file name becomes "Placeholder" as below:

Do you have any idea for solutions?

Thanks in advance,

I am facing the same problem... while importing the premiere pro file, all the files used there are changed to placeholders in after effects, and when linking the media, I get this error.
