Reporting After Effects 2025 crashed again today killing my bluetooth
Windows 11. I9 128GB ram 2040
This version is crashing and causing me to lose work. Very frustrating for how much money it costs and released in such terrible state.
It won't render if you have any optical flow blending turned on any layer.
Screen goes black constantly and very laggy
Crash, Crash Crash.
These are all the same projects that render and work fine in 2024, so full blame here on the recent update.

Hi, sorry to hear about the issues. Just to confirm, this is on version 25.0.1? When it crashes, are you getting a prompt to submit a crash report and are able to do so? If you can do so, and can submit them with an email address, such a report would help us understand what's happening.
Another thing that could help us understand what's happening is if you are able to get a log file for us. To do so from within AE:
Additionally, a screen recording or screenshot of the issues you're seeing with optical flow blending and the screen going black would help us to investigate.
Starting AE in Safe Mode may help as well. Have you started AE in Safe Mode and, if so, has it helped? There should be a dialogue box when you start AE after a crash that has the option to start in Safe Mode.

Thanks, I turned off Optical flow and got through that project. Considering I don;t use it much I started a new project in 2025.01.. stupid of me, I know. I'm getting GPU fx rendering erros warning in this project. I'll get the logs and post them.
I have 128GB system ram, 16GB video ram and a 4080. And AE 2025 is choking. seriously.
Adobe should offer some way to revert projects we started in 2025 back to 2024 .. due to those of us who where stupid enough to trust this update. OMG it's soooooo laggy and buggy.

Thanks for sharing the details. Glad to hear that you were able to complete the project. We can take a look at the logs if you could share them.
Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions.
Thanks,
