Roto Brush Tool not working

The Roto Brush Tool doesn't seem to work. I click on the roto brush at the top left, and when i move my cursor to the video or image it's still my normal cursor. It doesn't work or do anything.

First I'd ask if you're trying to Roto in the Composition Viewer or the Layer Viewer? It only works in the Layer Viewer.

hi im having the same problem. how do i switch it to the layer viewer?

My AE version is currently 23.6.0 (Build 62).

And when you say system info, do you mean my PC specs? like my GPU, etc?

Without any system info and version info for AE as well as possibly screenshots none of this means much. Outside that the usual applies: Check your hardware acceleration settings and update your graphhics driver. A lot of that is caused by hardware accelerated decoding and processing not working right.
