sapphire plug-in error

so i was making an edit and when i applied the s_timeslice effect (sapphire plugin) when it created like a big ahh black border around my screen - btw the effect was applied on an adjustment layerr soooo if anyone knows how to fix it please help!!

also my adobe is adobe ae 2020 on windows 10Capture.PNG

It might be a good idea to study the tutorials on the Sapphire effects. Most temporal effects require pre-composing to yield correct results and on top of it you are scaling your layers underneath, so I'm pretty sure the plug-in is doing everything correctly, you're just not using the correct methodology.

Adjustment layers can be very finicky. They are not a universal solution. Pre-composing is often a much better option. Your screenshot does not give us any info about the effects settings or the size of the Adjustment Layer. The only thing that is obvious is that there is probably an unlicensed effect somewhere in the comp.
