Saved animation looks different and not right in another project

hey so I have this issue for a while now and i really dont know how to fix this. Everytime i get project files I try to either type in the transition curves etc myself or save the animations and add it onto my own project.but it never looks the same. Sometimed it looks completely different most of the timed the scale is too big or the transition is completely different and choopy or even too slow. The project file is for edits and they always use scale and x and y transition but if I change those things to fit my frame and to make it correct,so I have my anchor point (or just the face in the frame) it becomes a mess and not the project that I wanted to have. Can someone please help me?
