Searching for an effect plugin that shows error message (e.g. no license) if you try to render

Hi

I want to test some batch rendering issues and I am searching for an effect plugin that shows an error message if you try to render a comp.

For example a message that asks for a serial or registration.

I found some effect plugins, but they all render a red cross and do not show any message.

thanks,

    >AE will tell you about missing plugins and fonts when you open the project
I am not talking about missing plugins either.

And I asked in a different forum and got this answer,

there you see a license dialog and not a red cross:
How to license optical flares in adobe after effects ofline / without any download - YouTube

You do not have to understand what I need,

but I know what I am talking about.

I am doing render pipelines for 17 years now and I have been render wrangling in companies that had exactly this issue.

    >but you should not be mad on us

Yes, I was just a bit annoyed that I got answers about an issue I do not have.

Even after I told 3-4 times that I do not have a problem. I tried to explain the issue again and again and again.

I am not a native english speaker, but it was not that complicated to understand, was it?
In my eyes: If you do not know why i mean, you can ask.

And confirm if you have understood the question.

And not thinking of a similar issue and answer to that other issue.
Because then I have to correct you, just to get another answer to a differrent issue, and again and again...

    frustrating...

How would you feel if you go into a store and ask for some milk. And he gives you some Coke.
And you ask again for Milk and get some Juice.
So you ask again and try to explain in more detail what Milk is.

As all of the peope before me said - there are no such plugin in AE that would give you that. Even if you even had project premade with some plugin and you don't have that plugin anymore - AE will tell you about missing plugins and fonts when you open the project but after ignoring that AE will render without any issues and popups or errors. So you can ask us or you can test 1000 plugins but you should not be mad on us or those 1000 plugin makers if you get answers that are not satisfying for you.

Third party plugins don't work like that; they always show the "error" by means of something burned into the frame. Since a render to Media Encoder always runs AE in headless mode it's not possible for a plugin to rely on being able to access the user interface API.

I definitely know that there are plugins out there that show a message.

Yes, they can not rely on it, but there are plugin vendors that forgot to think about batch rendering when they implemented the licensing.

And the rendering freezes because of that.

    Try this as well

    https://aescripts.com/bg-renderer/

Will definitely ask for a license

I use it often because you can have it render in the background while you continue working in AE

Also much faster than AE's built in renderer. Mine is however liccensed

    https://www.mekajiki.com/rendergarden/

I use it a lot and its got the best Render Engine out there. Almost like have a hardware based multi node render farm

    Hi Mo Moolla

Your links seem to be plugins that handle batch rendering.

But I am searching for an effects plugin.

I am doing the batch rendering myself.

I just need to know the name of some effects plugin.

The red X means the software is not licensed. Other error messages depend on the software (plug-in) that is being used. Unless a crash log is generated or a Render Cue error log has been created and saved there is no way to isolate those effects. Even if you did find them and remove them, you would still get an error that tells you that an effect is missing.

If you have licenses and you want to re-install then run the installers again and follow the licensing instructions. Otherwise, it is just going to take opening up comps and looking for unlicensed plug-ins.

? Please read my question, thanks.

I am SEARCHING for a plugin that shows a message instead of a red cross.

I did read the post. There are dozens if not hundreds that show a message. There is no automatic way of figuring out what effect is causing the problem. You have to look manually.
