Sequence Layers Command Troubles

Hello,

I'm new to After Effects and I wasn't able to find a solution to this problem hence I am asking here.

Whenever I select multiple clips and attempt to use the "sequence layers" command in keyframe assistant, the clips are being stacked from the bottom up. Meaning that the very bottom clip/layer is sequenced as the first on the timeline and the first layer is being put to the very end.

Is there any way to reverse the order? From the tutorials that I've seen whenever people use this command the clips are being stacked with the first being at the top, not the other way around as in my case.

Thank you for your time.

The layers will always stack in the order you select them. You can start at the bottom, hold down the shift key, then click the top. You can even hold down the Ctrl/Cmnd key and click one layer at a time to sequence them. This info is in the User Guide.

There's any number of alternative layer staggering/ stacking scripts on AEScripts.com.
