Shy switch does not work

Hi, my shy switch does not work. When I want to select it there is a blue layer blocking all the switches (please see the picture.)

I don't think that I have installed any plug-in in after effects. But just to make sure how can I check/find/uninstall the plug-in that some people are addressing as the source of the issue! Though I am quite sure I've not installed any!

You also have to activate Shy button at the top of the panel to the right of the search field.  That's how you turn the shy on and off for the layers set to shy.
