Any tricks for animating a shape on with opacity? So it fades on and up. I would like it to get more opaque as it scales up. (The edges should fade into transparency).

Exactly what? You need to be more specific and show us a screenshot of what you are trying to do. From using duplicates to applying all kinds of strokes our layer styles this could mean anything.
