A simple zig-zag wipe can easily be built using effects like Linear Wipe, Mosaic, Card Dance using suitable input maps and/or doing it on multiple layers. Conversely, the punched out text is nothing more than an inverted matte/ stencil layer. Basic AE stuff. It just takes a bit of patience to put together the pre-comps.

Simple 3D layers tied to a null at the center of the cube. This is basic 3D animation in After Effects. If you are new start here: Basic AE

I knew about the null objects and the 3D rotation - I was looking more of the green and text movement of it.
