Question

Stabilising and Speed Ramping

I've used Premiere for some years, and know that Nesting was always the way round this. But I'm new to AE.
After stabilising (smooth motion), I want to do Time remapping. What's the best way? I can enable Time Remapping after I've deleted the Trackers, so just the handle location is changing with the generated keyframes.

If I do it in this way, it seems the keyframes don't get time-remapped, so are all out of synch,

What's the best approach? Should I stabilise and then pre-render? I'd prefer not to do the speed ramps first, and they're what I'd like to play around with.

Thanks, and apologies if this is a dumb question, but I'm only two days into what's obviously a very powerful programme, and I have searched!

When intending to Time Remap after applying one of the Tracker Panel's features, it's best to pre-render the result and then use the resultant movie for Time Remapping.

Thanks Roland, that was what I came up with but it felt a bit inefficient, I thought there might be a less cumbersome way.

And would you suggest also pre-rendering as a lossless AVI to get it back into PP? I thought I could import the AE project file, but I'm getting an error regarding 'CC Force Motion Blur' which I have in the AE project.

It goes against all my instincts to save a still, or render a clip, more times than necessary. But I guess it's no different to saving a still as a TIF.

As mentioned earlier, the Warp Stabilizer VFX and 3D Camera Tracker have unique workflows that require such a process. Also, when working solely in AE, pre-rendering is a frequent process to speed up workflows and the 'final render'.
