Hey guys how do I create a loop of ‘stars’ flying by horizontally, as if looking through the window of a spaceship in hyperdrive? 🙂  maybe elonagated slightly with motion blur to emphasise speed.

You just need to create a suitably long pre-composition, stagger it twice on the main timeline and find a good point to add an "invisible" crossfade halfway through. Oldest technique in the book.

Anything from Directional Blur to CC Force Motion Blur to Timewarp applied to a bunch of random dots to actually drawing out the streaks and animating them. There's no specific canned effect for this, but it's easily doable using conventional animation techniques and a few effects.

Hey, thanks for the reply. So i've applied CC Starburst (speed set to 0 to disable zoom), and CC Directional blur for the streak effect....how do you advise creating an infinite loop of these flying horizontally?

I made a tutorial on 3D starfields - https://youtu.be/xG0GQLHRvHw?t=502

If you assemble your particle emitter to the side of your comp, then give them some horizontal gravity, they'll fly by the window and you won't need to worry about looping.
