text box selecting only first word

Hi,

I'm having a trouble writing text:

I write a sentence and when I click out of the typing box to select and move it, you can see it strokes only the first word. I can see the rest of the sentence but I can't click on it to drag or edit. only on the first word that's highlighted.

I can reach the text when I edit the box, but when I'm trying to set color to some of the words, it colors the oposit words.

I'm very frustrated and I couldn't find any information online.

It is worth mentioning that I'm writing in middle eastern language. I've tried reseting the paragraph / character but with no luck.

any suggestions?

We need screenshots embedded with the modified properties of the layer giving you problems revealed. Select the text layer, press 'uu' and make sure the Character Panel is visible, then use the Toolbar to embed the screenshot. We also need your AE version, OS, and system details.

I'm using AE2020 Version 17.1.1 Build 34

running on PC, windows 10 pro 64 bit

its is worth mentioning that I can't highlight and change color for English text as well. I can highlight a word / letter and choose a different color but it appears wrong: I get another part of the sentence colored instead.
