Greetings all.

I've been racking my brains out for the past couple of hours trying to acheive this effect (please see video).

Can anyone help?

Hi Antoine,

I'd recommend you try the Film Impact Text Animator video transition.

Does that work for you?

AfterEffects has a few text animation effects built-in that work very well. Also ... aescripts.com has quite a few text plugins, that can do amazing stuff, worth checking out.

As well as "TypeGems" which I've used some for automating all sorts of text stuff.

thanks to all for your suggestions, however, I can find most of these at Motionarray.

This specific transaction is unique and I haven't been either able to find it or to create the same effect.

If it's unique, then probaby it wasn't created with the use of a plugin.

For starters, this is an animation more likely done in After Effects rather than PPro. For this reason, I am moving this discussion to the After Effects community.

What I see is a per character animation with a rotation parameter and a motion bounce. Once you have created this for one character, you can copy the parameters over to other layers or use a control layer to achieve the same effect.

Thanks for your helpful reply.

So if I copy the parameters as you say, can I apply them to words instead of  individual letters?

Check out how the per character animator works in After Effects. YouTube is your best friend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq1BhSXslCM

It looks like a per character 3D rotation in AE to me.
