Text replaced by wrong letters and symbols

I have recently bought and downloaded a customizable logo intro. There's 4 different text holders and the 3 of them work just fine, but the 4th one is replacing every letter with another letter or symbol.
The After Effects version i am using is After Effects CC 2017.
How can i fix this? Please help!

Sounds like it may have some expression or text animator applied to it that modifies the text. As already said, a screenshot with the timeline and the properties revealed will tell a lot.
