The stock plugin "Exposure" suddenly is now missing

My after effects crashed while I was working on a project, and upon reopening it I received the message that the project contains a reference to the missing plugin "Exposure". Normally this is a stock plugin in the color correction category but it no longer shows when I scroll through the color correction effects. When I search exposure in the Effects & Presets it comes up under the category "Missing" and has no effect on any layers I apply it to.

This project is on a very tight deadline, please help asap!

Go to the Effects menu -> Manage Effects and turn off the third-party effects checkbox. Search for Exposure and you should find it is likely Disabled. Enable it, restart AE and then the effect should be back.
