Time indicator goes one frame backwards when trying to preview.

Hi, 

 

I've been having this issue for the last months, with different AE versions (I'm updated to the 23.4 version) and also with different Windows versions (10 & 11). 

 

The issue is the following. When I try to preview any comp by pressing the space bar, the time indicator goes one frame backward, instead of previewing forward. It doesn't happen always, it usually happens after I do "increment and save" or when I render the comp with the "render queue". It's very annoying, I have to close and open again AE every time to solve this. 

 

Could someone please help me with this matter? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Have you checked the keyboard shortcuts? It sounds like you've accidentally changed the previous frame shortcut to your spacebar.  Although you do say this doesn't happen every time.

If it's not that, what does the Preview panel state the spacebar actions should do?

Sorry to hear that.

Could you share more details about your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM)? Is it happening with all the projects? If your GPU driver is not updated, please give it a try. If that doesn't help, try using After Effects in Safe Mode (go to After Effects preferences> Startup & Repair).
