timeline-section too small - how to make it larger?

New Here ,
Apr 30, 2022 Apr 30, 2022

My timeline section is too small. As you can see inn the photo, the actuall timeline space to the down right is very small, and i want to extend it to the left. but just draging it further to the left is not an option.

This happened after connecting my macbook to an external monitor.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

- thanks Skjermbilde 2022-05-01 kl. 00.01.32.png

In the far lower left hand corner of the timeline panel there are three buttons. They enable/disable the varies panes of the timelinepanel. Click off the second two and leave only the first one enabled.

I think you misunderstand. The timeline interface it just a little square to the bottom right. It doesn't have to do with the amount of seconds or minutes, but simply the amount of space that it showing the timeline.
the section to the down left where the clips will show among with blendmode options and more are simply to large.

Spend about 10 minutes in the Learn Workspace to get a handle on the basics of the UI.

In the macOS Display System Preferences, what is the current "Scaled" setting?

If you are at "Default" or an option toward "Larger Text", try a setting toward "More Space".

A liitle late this answer but might help:

Do what other comments says about the down left corner buttons, disable them all and then you can strech the time line UI, then reactivate the buttons as you wish.

It seems Ui wont let you strech the timeline window if you have activated the buttons.
