Unknown Exception Error when doing arbitrary actions

Hello, i'm on MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1, and i'm experiencing random "Unknown Exception" error when doing seemingly random things:

-I can't create solid layers

-I can't import .mov files ( works if i do a multiple file import and spam the import button in the Finder )

-I can't double clic on a keyframe in the Graph Editor if the attribute has 2 values (position or scale - no error if i separate dimensions or if i work in a 3D layer)

I tried multiple versions of After Effects, i tried emptying the cache folder, i even did a macOS update ( i had one pending ) but i'm still getting errors.

Anyone has a clue as to what can be wrong? thanks in advance. i uploaded a screen capture also

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issues.

Are these issues reproducible in a new project? If so, can you share a screen recording?

Please try the potential solution provided in the following article: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-bugs/after-effects-23-6-and-24-0-not-starting-on-macos-14-sonoma/idi-p/14139194

Let us know.

Thanks,

Nishu
