Question

Use a Null Object's rotation for position ONLY without rotating

At the image above, I would like the "coffee cup" to use the Null Object's rotation as a position. As you can see I am trying to make a clock animation, when the short hands points to 10 o'clock, the coffee cup should be there too but that's not the problem.

On the coffee cup's rotation value, use the pickwhip to link it to the null object's rotation.  Then in the expressions area add:

*-1

This will apply the rotation to the coffee cup in the opposite direction.  So when the null is at 60° (clockwise) and as a child the coffee cup is also at the same angle, you then cancel this out, so the coffee cup is rotated anti-clockwise by 60°
