I am new to After Effects and I wanted to add text to a video I made with my iPhone as a practice, but once I imported the video locks damaged

    That's may happen sometime because you import an .MP4 video file, to fix that try to transcode the file using adobe media encoder to some better codec like apple ProRez then use on AE

    Thanks, I tried as you recommended and also multiple other codec and still don't work
