Does anyone know why I am greeted with an error when attempting to import a .vpe file into after effects. Ive created a 3d image of an alley way, follwed tutorials online, although it seems like a straight forward thing to be honest. Firstly after efects does not see the file (greyed out), only the 3ds is available for import which ofcourse gives out an error.

Can someone help?

That's not ideal.

What version of After Effects and Photoshop are you using? Are you on macOS or Windows? Also, what's the version of your OS?

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,
Nishu

LATEST

Hi, Thank you for your message. I am using Mac OS 15.3.1. My photoshop version is 26.4.1 and after effects version is 25.1. No further updates available as of this moment.

So after doing a bunch of tests, yes I can confirm that although I go into file, import, vpe file, the .vpe files are all greyed out. Only 3ds are clickable.
