Weird pixel colour glitch

I desperately need assistance in solving this issue. I dont even know what to call it, as it's never happened and non of my colleques have experienced it but heres the problem; the footage has become blocky and glitchy with radnom colours - the footage is completely unrecognisable. Any ideas?

I work on a gaming computer, here are the specs, so I dont think it's my pc, some setting has gone out in AE is my best bet.

Motherboard: ASUS Strix B450-F

RAM: Klevv RGB DDR4 3200 MHz

Hard Drive: Intel 512GB NVME M.2

Cooler: AMD wraith prism rgb cooler

Graphics Card: Gigabyte RX580 8gig

Boring as it is, these are just mundane decoding issues, likely related to hardware accelerated functions. that being the case, update your graphics driver, check the settings, review the relevant preferences and render settings in AE. Really not much more than that. It will just take some time and patience to get to the bottom of the issues.
