When i import my mp4 files after effects turns them ınto avi on the project panel

In my old project files mp4s also seems as avi now how can ı fıx that wıthout clearıng cache or resetıng somethıng

Reinstall the program, get rid of whatever garbage media players you may have recently installed that have messed up your CoDecs.

Yes sir, seems like the only solution but i might be the one to mess up the codecs as i was trying to import mkv files
