Question

Will uninstalling after effects cc 2018 delete my projects

I’ve been using after effects for almost two years and just yesterday after a blue screen of death error, after effects gave me an error before startup saying my AppData/Roaming/Adobe/After Effects directory file could not be created.

if I uninstall after effects and reinstall it, will my projects and edits be deleted? I don’t want to have to recreate them as one is a project for my school. Please let me know!

also it's better if you can collect your project, so you can put all the used media in one folder, this save you getting missing links later, special if you need to use this project in other PC. to do this go to File/Dependencies/Collect files .

this step not necessary if you don't use any external elements or footage like photo and video

no, not with after effects and not with any other adobe program.  project files are not affects by uninstalling, reinstalling, updating and/or upgrading.

but lots of other bad things can happen to project files so they should be backed up on a different hard drive or other storage media.
