Hello,

I spent 2 days working on this project only to realize when I exported it, that I've been working in 1167x63 is there anyway to work around this?

Regards, Andreas

Create a new 1,920 x 1,080 comp of the required duration. Then drop your existing comp into it.

Layer menu > transform > Fit to... and choose your poison : )

If you use the fit to height option you will loose something off each side - you can position your layer within the new comp as you prefer. Obviously if you go from 1167 to something bigger you will be 'uprezing' your comp and content which means reduced quality.

I would use the Resize Composition script that comes with AE and then adjust the height of the comp, run a preview to see how everything works, fix any problems and be done with it. As long as your source files have sufficient resolution so they are not scaled up more than about 110% or the assets are vectors and CR is turned on you should be just fine.

Just to add to what Rick suggested. If you do have to scale any assets above 110% I’d advise using the “detail preserving upscale” effect as opposed to using the regular scale property. You’ll get better results generally using this.

And what are the actual requirements for the output?

Ideally 1920x1080, but 1280x720 will do if the other is impossible
