XD > AE crashes AE

Was working fine yesterday morning, now XD export to AE crashes AE...

First, I would purge all memory and disk cache and ensure nothing else is running in the background. If AE still crashes when you export an Illustrator file to After Effects from XD.

If it still crashes, create a simple Illustrator file with only a couple of shapes in it, save the text file, and see if that works. You could have an AI file with some incompatible shapes or funky frame sizes eating. up your system resources.
