AE Beginner Tutorial Link is Very Out of Date!

As a person trying to get up to speed on new software to help a coworker, I am having a lot of problems with the recommended beginner tutorials for AE.

This is the most promoted link: Learn | Adobe Creative Cloud

But it contains files and videos from 2018. In 5 years the look, feel, and capabilities of the program has changed dramatically enough that it is very difficult to follow along if you're a true, never-touched-AE-before beginner. Likewise, when files are old enough, it asks to auto-update when you open it, and that opens a whole other can of worms.

Not to be ungrateful, but I'm frustrated that I pay as much for CC as I do, and I get better tuturial files and tips off Youtube and third party creators for free than I do from Adobe...

Very good point, we should remove that tutorial. Built into AE is the Learn panel. It contains lots of tutorials for getting started and going beyond and can even walk you through each of the steps directly in the app. Give those a try and see if they help.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I use the "learn" tab and select
something I want to learn, all it does is open the app with the "Learn"
window and an empty project.

For a true beginner, I don't even know what all the panels do. There's
nothing indicating what my next step would be. I tried making a new
composition and things change, but no popups appear informing me of
anything that's happening or what I should do.

I've seen enough YouTube tutorials to get by, but this was my first time
trying the Learn feature and I don't think it did much of anything to help.
I'm going to stick to YouTube 3rd party tutorials, since that wasn't very
enlightening or intuitive for a "never touched this software before"
beginner. And I'm not about to take up more time googling "learn how to use
the learn feature."

Thank you for looking into the old tutorial. Rather than just remove,
kindly consider updating. Same media, same info, updated when applicable.

That's very strange. It should open up to something that looks like the attached image.
