AGREED!!!!! eGPU PLEASE!!!! I have 3 AMD WX9100 and use all 3 with my MacBook Pro for projection mapping which gives me 18 4k outputs and works great. I would love to leverage them in After Effects.
Seconded. None of Adobe's apps natively support eGPU / provide any ability to select an eGPU card from Preferences. No indication CC 2019 will be any different. For video apps in particular this is unacceptable.
I have a 2018 MacMini and almost purchased an eGPU based on this article: "Sonnet and Adobe have announced that the new releases of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Media Encoder —all part of Adobe Creative Cloud —now take advantage of Thunderbolt-connected eGPUs to enhance their performance." https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/04/07/new-adobe-creative-cloud-video-editing-applications-now-d... Was this article incorrect?
Adobe across the board needs to take advantage of eGPU support - we can all make bigger and better graphics... FASTER! It would only make Adobe look good, after all aren't the users really selling what Adobe can do?
No idea how this is not already a thing. You make graphics related software. Can you please update this so Preimere Pro utilises the egpu for general playback and not just rendering effects and exporting. Other platforms already have this like Final cut etc.
I work in 3 cities over the course of a year and have to drag my MacPro with me. I could get away with a more portable machine IF AE could make use of an eGPU.
Please make it faster - I have a iMac Pro 64GB, 16GB AMD Graphic Card and a 8GB eGPU (Most of my business work is to make 3D-Things) but if I want to make a Vide - it is worst.
Purchased a Mac Mini a few months ago (surprise—it's a complete piece of trash) but the eGPU I just hooked into it was my saving grace for Photoshop and Illustrator. The fact that AE doesn't take advantage of the eGPU is a huge disappointment.
