Enhancement Request: Addressing Annoying Interface Behavior During Panel Scrolling

Contributor ,

Currently, there is an issue with the interface when scrolling through panels. The values in the fields may change when the pointer hovers over them while scrolling, which can be very annoying.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Hover the pointer over a long panel with a scrollbar.
  2. Start scrolling (up or down).
  3. When the pointer happens to hover over a field with a certain value, it may change that value instead of scrolling the panel.
  4.

Please implement a feature to disable this annoying behavior. Add an option (checkbox) to the preferences to turn it off:

☑ Scroll through field values using the scroll wheel.

That looks and behaves like a bug. It's extremely annoying. It definitely should be fixed and disabled. Scrolling should only scroll and not change any values of objects.

I don't think anyone would want to change values in that way. My preference would be to simply disable that behavior instead of a user pref option.
