RTL scripting query in After Effects

@ariel_n Thanks for those requests! Per "How to write a feature request", please create new threads for each request rather than list them under an unrelated request.

The functionality to use scripting to convert between Box and Point Text and to query rich text styles are both good requests, but they are unrelated to querying text direction. Separate threads will allow us to better communicate about the details of each request and to more easily notify you as those features come to the Beta builds.

Since this qualifies as "additional paragraph/text scripting objects", we could also really, really use a convert from/to paragraph/point text, and the ability to query rich text styles.

Hey there! In typical product manager fashion (😉), I got a little too excited to let you know that we're on it. We're absolutely still in progress on this, but some items (in typical After Effects fashion) are proving trickier than initially expected. I'm going to edit my response above to reflect the current state so that people's expectations are set correctly. I'll post to the beta forums when we have items in beta and will also link that post here when it's ready!

it's amazing! Everyone who works with the localization of their videos will be delighted!!
It remains to solve one more issue with changing the text style in individual characters in order to get rid of problems in which the font does not support some characters and you have to create a separate text layer.

Thanks for asking -- additional paragraph/text scripting objects are currently in the works. I would recommend keeping an eye out on our beta forums; I'll make a post there when they're ready to try out.

(Update 5/16/2023: Removed a reference to timing -- some items are proving trickier than initially expected, so we don't want to set unrealistic expectations re: when this will hit beta. Rest assured that this request is still active.)
