Adjusting rotation on individual repeater repetitions?

Hi all, so I've been searching these forums and various youtube tutorials and help articles and can't seem to find out if this is possible, but what I'm trying to do is replicate this icon in After Effects like so:

So far I have set up the repeater so that all the stars appear sequentially as they appear around the circle, however the repeater is obviously rotating the original star shape around the central anchor point in the middle of the circle, rotating each of the stars themselves by 30 degrees like this:

What I'd like to do is have the stars animate on using the repeater function, but to have all the stars facing upwards like the one at the very top (the original). Is there any way of adjusting a setting in the repeater?

Thanks in advance

Andy

Create a text, add a mask in a circle, in the options of the Layer use the Path Options so that the text follows the mask and animates its properties (First Margin / Last Margin) and turn Off the option "Perpendicular to path". You should look for a text that is in the form of a star, some like Webdings or the Wingdings that are typographies with icons, I believe that none has a star so you should look for another one.

Brilliant, thanks! Managed to make all the stars upright, a small issue with the spacing but won't be too noticeable to anyone except me haha

You’re welcome! You can add more stars or more size so that they are more united with each other, because this is an example I did not try hard but you can do it when you get the text with a star.

Long and short: No. If specific rotations are a requirement, you have to approach this differently like e.g. creating the stars as text on a path based on dingbat fonts and then messing with text animators.

I had thought that might be the case after a long search! Oh well I'll have to explore other options, thanks!
